With blessing and mandate from Adeikhtan Sayadaw, Adeikhtan Buddhist Association (ABA) – Australia was established on 31 January 2009. The members are:
Dr Kaung Wynn (President), Mr Theikdi Hla (Vice President), Mr Kyaw Zeya (Secretary), Dr Yu Yu Tin (Treasurer), Mrs Theingi Tin (Vice Treasurer), EC members ( Mr Wai Toe, Mrs Nila Wai Toe, Mr Ko Ko Aung, Dr Hla Sein Wai, Dr. Zaw Win Oo ,Mr Aung Tha (Myanmar).
The ABA (Australia) has been officially registered and incorporated as an association by the NSW Government on 4 June 2009 with the Incorporation No. INC - 9891398.INC - 9891398.
As required by law, the Adeikhtan Buddhist Missionary Company (ABMC-ACN:138 063 993) was formed with Sayadaw, Dr Kaung Win, Mr Theikdi Hla as Directors, Mr Kyaw Zeya as Secretary, Dr Hla Sein Wai as Assistant Secretary, Dr Yu Yu Tin as Treasurer and Mrs Theingi Tin as Assistant Treasurer.
ABAA has been registred as the Member of the Buddhist Council of NSW (Membership No. 1904)on 17th Aug 2009).
Working Committee is formed under the management of ABMC and ABA Australia. Young professionals are engaged to manage the project. Mr Khin Maung Nyunt is the Communication and Media Manager and Mrs Tin Mie Mie Kyaw is the Finance Manager.
The manager for Administration, Museum, Operation & Maintenance, Meditation, Events, Marketing, Fund Raising, Architecture, Structure, Building , Land and Construction will be engaged soon.
NOTE:ADEIKHTAN is Burmese pronunciation; in London PALI text standardized spelling it is “ADHITTHANA” which means decision, resolution and determination.
